Introducing Jo The Wombat February 10, 2008

Jo is our class mascot. He was named by the students and will be going home with a different person each night. He will choose each day, including the weekend. The job of the children is to make sure that they write in Jo’s diary and draw a picture. This will be shared each day during news times. It is very important that Jo returns to school every day to continue his education. I hope that this will encourage the children to write!

Hi Mrs Groom,
Great idea, excellent way to keep up on what is happening in the class. Hannah is looking forward to her turn in bringing Jo the Wombat home, she loves to write and this is a great way to incourage all the children.

It is fantastic what we can do with technology these days. This is a great idea. I thank you for organising this.
It was Kamran’s turn in taking Jo home yesterday. He took Jo everywhere he went and took very good care of him. I’m sure the rest of the children will also have lots of fun looking after Jo and writing about their evening with him.
I look forward to a great year ahead.
